A cycling jersey, made the way they used to be.
Knitted in 100% high-quality merino wool, this piece takes the language of vintage cycling shirts and brings it into the Atelier Marinière wardrobe. No synthetic fibres, no technical shortcuts — only pure merino, chosen for its natural softness, breathability and refined feel on the body.
Each jersey is produced in Italy in limited quantities and finished one by one. The front features a black zip and a chain-stitch Atelier Marinière embroidery, while the back is constructed with three practical pockets, each finished with a button and hand-sewn buttonhole.
Designed as a real cycling jersey, but not limited to the bike. Its regular fit, graphic stripes and vintage attitude make it just as strong worn in the city — with tailored trousers, denim, or simply as the piece that changes the whole silhouette.
A limited-edition merino cycling marinière. Functional, nostalgic, and unmistakably fashion.

Yarn & Care
Yarn & Care
We craft our Breton Shirts in Italy using a manual loom, ensuring each piece is meticulously knitted rather than cut from pre-printed fabric. Every sweater is made by skilled artisans, using over 2.5 kilometers of raw yarn, preserving the authenticity of traditional craftsmanship.
To keep your Breton Shirt looking its best, hand wash or machine wash at 30°C, then hang to dry. If needed, iron inside out or use steam to remove creases.

A Certain Way to Wear It
There’s a way to wear it.
On the bike, of course.
But not only there.
A merino cycling jersey with the attitude of another era, made to move between function and style.
Regular in fit, graphic in presence, precise in detail.
For the road, for the city, for days that start with a ride and end somewhere else entirely.
Vintage in spirit.
Modern in the way it’s worn.
The Breton Shirt, Reworked
We took the classic marinière — also known as the Breton shirt — and rethought it from a fashion perspective.
The stripes remain. The silhouette changes.
Looser. Wider. More relaxed. Crafted in 100% cotton, with a medium-weight feel, a dry touch and a naturally breathable structure. Comfortable on the skin, precise in shape, easy to wear across seasons.
The best Cotton from Italy
For Edition 08, we selected a 100% cotton yarn from Manifattura Sesia, in the province of Novara — a historic Italian yarn maker known for its high-quality knitwear yarns.
Cotton is not only about freshness.
It’s about structure.
Medium-weight and compact, this yarn gives the marinière a clean surface, a dry touch and a naturally breathable feel. Substantial without being heavy, it holds the silhouette without stiffness.
Worn directly on the skin, it feels precise, comfortable and easy.
When a garment relies on cut, proportion and versatility, the material cannot be secondary.
It must meet the same standard.
Why Only 99 Pieces
We make 99 pieces. That’s all.
Not as a gimmick — as a decision.
Small numbers allow us to work without compromise.
No shortcuts. No overstock. No discounts.
What we make is exactly what we stand behind.
The price never changes.
Each piece is numbered.
One of 99.
Knitted Near Venice
Our Breton Shirts come from just outside Venice, from a place where certain things are still done with intent.
We chose a small family workshop not for romance, but for the way they work: measured, exact, and uninterested in shortcuts.
There’s no mythology, no folklore — just people who know their craft and let the results speak.
The result is a piece shaped by people who take their time, work with intention, and pay attention to the details that define everything else.
