Size

Men’s Super Kid Mohair and silk striped sweater made in Italy with a relaxed, slightly oversized fit. The white and navy Breton-inspired stripes sit on a lightweight yet warm knit, finished with a narrow boat neck and hand embroidery. Limited to 99 pieces, designed as a refined everyday winter layer.

Merino Wool from Italy

We have chosen one of the best manufacturers in the world of merino wool: Tollegno 1900. It is a historic Italian company specializing in the production of the highest quality wools. Located in the town of Tollegno, in the province of Biella, at the foot of the Piedmont Alps, Tollegno 1900 operates ethically and holds the most important eco-certifications in the textile industry, making it a green and sustainable company.

Fit

The oversized fit, the dropped sleeves and wide boat neck are hallmarks of our design. Taken together, they represent a unique, modern and fashionable update of this classic look, making them perfect for every outfit.

Available from S to L. We recommend ordering your normal size. Consult our sizing chart for the correct measurements. If you prefer a slimmer fit, order a size down. If you are unsure or need some advice, send us a message and we will be happy to help.

The model in the photo is 189 cm tall and wears size L.

Yarn & Care

We craft our Breton Shirts in Italy using a manual loom, ensuring each piece is meticulously knitted rather than cut from pre-printed fabric. Every sweater is made by skilled artisans, using over 2.5 kilometers of raw yarn, preserving the authenticity of traditional craftsmanship.

To keep your Breton Shirt looking its best, hand wash or machine wash at 30°C, then hang to dry. If needed, iron inside out or use steam to remove creases.

Shipping & Returns

Shipping is free worldwide.

Once your Marinière is dispatched, you'll receive an email with tracking details. We ship all over the world. And if you’re based in the EU, we will be sending your items directly from Italy so that you won’t incur additional customs fees.

If for any reason you wanted to return your Marinière, we accept returns within 14 days of delivery as long as the Marinièere is in perfect condition.

Knitted Near Venice

Our Breton Shirts come from just outside Venice, from a place where certain things are still done with intent.
We chose a small family workshop not for romance, but for the way they work: measured, exact, and uninterested in shortcuts.
There’s no mythology, no folklore — just people who know their craft and let the results speak.
The result is a piece shaped by people who take their time, work with intention, and pay attention to the details that define everything else.

Why Only 99 Pieces

Limiting each colourway to 99 pieces is a choice, not a gimmick. It lets us produce only what we know we can sell, keep quality high, and avoid turning the Marinière into just another stripe. When you find your number on the label, you’re holding one of only 99 shirts like it in the world.

The Breton Shirt, Reworked

We took the idea of the classic marinière (also called Breton Shirt) and reworked it with a different intention: lighter, softer, and more fluid on the body. The stripes stay, but the proportions change — a looser cut, a slightly widened boat neck, and a fit that feels relaxed rather than strict. Super kid mohair gives the piece a refined texture and an ease that’s very different from the traditional sailor shirt. Familiar in spirit, redesigned in everything else.
